Your very welcome Jeanne, I think that building meetings are here to stay and we'll have another one at okte this School year. I'll also let the Local President know that this meeting went well
and She (Dawn Sweeney) will be invited to the next meeting if it would be ok with you guys.
We stand as one,
Gary

I behalf of those present at the meeting I would like to thank you and the group for agreeing to meet with us in the setting that took place tonight. We all feel that if you have more of
these meetings on an individual basis the more members you will draw and more accurate information will be out there. Again, thank you for taking the time and answering our questions. Please forward this to all present

Marianne and Jeanne,
We have a Labor/Management meeting on December 6th and at that time we'll know what day in January we'll be meeting. If it will serve your purpose, and its OK with Richard Allen, we might be able to meet with Okte next week on the sixth instead of in January. Please let me know if that's OK on your end.
The meeting will be an open forum where any and all questions may be asked.
Jeanne, please see my e-mail to Marianne below in response to the questions you asked in your e-mail to me dated 11/29/2006.....

Gary, thank you for you quick response to my e-mail. We would be very receptive to a meeting here at Okte the day of your Labor/Management meeting. Could you please clarify what the meeting would
be in regards too? Jeanne and I would be more than happy to share information with our collegues but we would need a specific day and time in order for us to retain a room. Keep me posted.

Hi Marianne,
I totally agree with you. It has been a year of many problems which have taken up a lot of our time. I want to let you know that we're starting to hold individual building
meetings. Next week we'll be meeting with HSE and HSW in the HSE library at 5:30pm. We could do the same for Okte sooner rather than later if you'd like. If we set it up for the same day that we have our monthly
labor/management meeting we could be there by 3:30pm and everyone would be home in time for dinner. Please let me know if that would be helpful and perhaps we can set it up for January.
The meeting on the 15th is a general membership meeting and will be conducted as such. The DJ and gifts are for after the meeting. The E-Board thought it might be a nice way to say Merry Christmas
to our members.
I appreciate your e-mail and, as I said above, I agree with you. We hope to hold our first meeting next year in October (maybe even late September if we can swing it).
Again, thank you for voicing your concerns.

I just wanted to voice my concern over the length of time it has taken to have a General Membership Meeting. Three months have passed and the first time our Officers decide to
hold a meeting is it determined that the 3rd Friday night in December (with only 5 work days left before the holiday break!) is the best time for your members! It is truly an inconvenient day and time. I
feel a General Meeting should have been held long before December. I'm confused as to why there will be gifts and a DJ? Is this suppose to be a Holiday gathering? If so there is no mention of that on
the announcement we received. If the intent of a December "meeting" was to have a Holiday gathering then plan it as such. But if the intent was to update your members on information pertaining to their
employment perhaps a meeting held earlier in the school year would be more beneficial, perhaps next year you might consider this. Please think of the entire membership and what is best for the majority of those
people.
Thank you for allowing me a forum to speak my mind.
