Kathleen Pepper

Kathleen Pepper - President, is happy to serve not only as your Unit President, but also represents our members on the P.E.O.P.L.E (Public Employees Organized to Promote Legislative Equality), Koda Scholarship and Labor Management Committees.  in the spring of 2011 Kathleen was appointed to serve as an officer in the Saratoga Educational Local 864.  She also serves as your Grievance Representative.

With the help and support of an outstanding team, Kathleen was instrumental in negotiating our 2009-2012 contract.  Looking forward, as we continue to weather trying economic times, Kathleen remains committed to protecting and preserving the strength and stability of our local and state CSEA units.  Particularly, through her work on the P.E.O.P.L.E.S committee, she will continue to spread the "strength in numbers" message she so strongly believes in.  Continuing to remind local and state members how effective we can be when we work together towards common goals.

Kathleen is married with three children ranging in age from pre-school to high school.  She is currently a  Special Education Aide at Chango Elementary.

Michele Fazio - Executive Vice President, has been working in the High School East Library for the past 17 years.  She is currently working here at Shenendehowa under the title of Computer Aide.  Michele has been involved with CSEA for over eleven years, as a High School Building representative, Grievance Representative (Chairperson), Shop Steward and is on multiple district wide committees.  Michele currently holds the title of Executive Vice President and she will also assist the union as a representative for the High School East building.

Michele is married and has been living in Clifton Park since 1987.  She has two children who were educated through Shenendehowa Central Schools.

 

Sherrie Peat - 1st Vice President, has been with Shenendehowa since 1994 and is a Shop Steward and Grievance Representative for our middle schools.  She serves on the Labor Management Committee as well as other committees in the district.  Sherrie's children graduated from Shenendehowa and she now has two grandchildren.  Her oldest son Rick (Shen's Athletic Trainer) has a beautiful six year old daughter named Annika.  Her daughter Staci, and her husband John, live in Clifton park with their two year old son Xander.  Sherrie's youngest son David is an EMT with CPHM ambulance and is a Forman for Top Cat.  He is a Lieutenant for the Vischer Ferry Fire Co. and he and his wife Joanne are expecting their first child in June.  Sherri was a statistics clerk for NYS Department on EnCon and was the CSEA rep back in the early 70's.  She currently calls Acadia home, but can be seen working in all three middle schools.

 

Barbara Jones - 2nd Vice President, has worked in Transportation as a school bus driver since 1987.  She holds a degree in Early Childhood Education and prior to working for the district, she owned and operated a preschool in Clifton Park for 20 years.

She first served the Shen Unit as social committee chair (under then president Myrtle Majors) from 1987 to 1993. In 1993, she ran for local office and won. She served on the Saratoga County Educational Local 864 Executive Board for 12 years, as a treasurer, second vice president, first vice president, and then president. Barbara also served 2 years on the New York State CSEA Board of Directors.  In August 2003, Shenendehowa CSEA vice president Ken Plummer passed away. Barbara filled in for one year as the treasurer of the unit, and then in 2004 became vice president of the unit until the term ended in 2005. Barbara was part of the negotiation team that negotiated the contract for the July 1, 2005 to June 30, 2009 CSEA contract. She's also chaired the membership committee, the scholarship committee, and attended many AFSME conferences to obtain and share information with our Local and Unit.

Currently Barb is serving as one of the Vice Presidents but also serves as Shop Steward and Grievance Representative throughout the district.  Barb and her husband reside in Clifton park.

Bettina Morrissey - Secretary, has worked as a monitor in High School West for 11 years.  She is married and has two children Matthew who is 24 and Kevin who is 22.  Kevin is a 2008 graduate of Shen.  She resides in Halfmoon.  Bettina's goal as a Grievance Representative, Shop Steward and Unit Secretary is to help CSEA members have a better work experience by assisting them in resolving workplace issues.  She has been a Grievance Representative and Shop Steward since January 2011.

 

Ann Loudon

Ann Louden - Treasurerhas worked in the Koda Library since 2007.  Prior to becoming our Unit Treasurer, she served as PTA Treasurer for two years at Skano Elementary and for two years at Acadia Middle School.  She is currently serving her third year as Treasurer for Shenendehowa's Colorguard.  She is married and has two children.
